Medic Training...361days

The last 4 days have been medic training for the Doctors, PA's and the medics/corpsmen.  We are learning Combat Life Support as well as  the various techniques for evacuating casualties from the field and loading and unloading them into the vehicles for evacuation to the first echelon of care.  I have had  at least some of this training before, but this time obviously it is much more Germane.  I sincerely hope that I NEVER need to use these skills in the field but also that should I be required use them that I will be able to do so and save one of my fellow soldiers, sailors or airmen.

I'm getting into the swing of things here.  There isn't much to do after the training day ends we go to the gym, the all ranks club and of course the chow hall.  I spend a lot of time reading, watching TV shows on my computer and listening to music.  I miss my family so much and I have only begun this journey.  I am thankful to have Skype to be able to see their faces, their smiles and their laughter.  I can't wait to give them hugs and kisses.
